New England District Baton Twirlers perform in Florida

AAU Florida Baton Twirling & Dance Festival Gets off to a Great Start

On April 27th, 2003 AAU Baton Twirlers and Dancers came from all of the state to compete in the first annual festival. The event, which took place in Seffner, Florida was the first AAU Baton Twirling and Dance/Dance Drill event to be held. June Bryan and Dawn Gundlach, who formed the organization "Let's Twirl" hosted around 75 athletes, who all went home as winners. The newly appointed AAU Baton Twirling Chairs for the state of Florida made sure that every AAU Baton Twirler went home with a ribbon commerating their achievements in the event. The AAU Baton Twirling & Dance Festival is just the start of competitions that will be held for AAU athletes in Florida.
